Bio
Harald Betke is an expert for communication as Visual Consultant, Strategist, Creative Director, Teacher and Speaker. He provides strategic advice, creative execution, event management.
He was educated at the Advertising Academy Vienna, but started his career as journalist. He was movie and music reviewer for the daily newspaper "Die Presse". In 1984 he created the cigarette brand Casablanca. In 1989 he was one of the pioneers for clubbings in Vienna and started the legendary "Moulin Rouge", where the first flyers were used to promote the event. He owned his own Club and also organised concerts with acts like Rod Stewart, Stranglers, Phil Glass, Laurie Anderson. In his career in advertising, he was the first Austrian at he Cannes Festival shortlist and won many international awards. He created campaigns for clients like ORF - Austrian television, Fashion TV, Amnesty international, supermarket chains, political parties, government. He teaches science of communication at the University of Vienna, the Course of Studies University of applied arts, St. Gallen for Eventmarketing and is a regular speaker at international congresses. Harald Betke also is President of the international advertising and multimedia festival Golden Award and founder of the Creative Campus and Adforum Montreux.
